How to configure and save a view?

With the new group module, you have the option of configuring and saving your own views. You can either save views just for yourself or make them available to everyone. In this step-by-step guide, we will look together at how to configure and save a table view for small group management.

1. Open the Groups module #

Open the Groups module (1), navigate to Small groups (2) and open the Table view (3).

2. Configure columns #

Click on the gear button (4). In the menu that opens, you can now adjust the arrangement of the columns using the handles (5) in front of the column titles. Using the eye symbol and the pin symbol (6), you can show and hide columns or fix them in the front area of the table view.

3. Set filter #

As we only want to manage the small groups of our campus – center, for example, we only show these via a filter.
Click on the search bar (7) and select “Filter by Campus” (8). By clicking on “Campus – Center” (9), only the small groups of the “Campus – Center” are displayed.

4. Save view #

Use the button Save the view (10) you can now save the settings you have made. With the setting Visibility (11) you can specify whether the saved view is only saved for you or is displayed for all users.

5. Use view #

The saved view is now stored in the sidebar and can be called up. You can also edit or delete the view using the 3-dot menu (12).
