What are group member statuses and what effects do they have?

In ChurchTools, group members can not only have different roles, but also three different statuses.

These have the following effects:

StatusImpact
RequestedThe person should/would like to join the group, but is not yet an active member of the group.
ActiveThe person is an active member of the groups.
To deleteThe person should/would like to be removed from the group and is already no longer an active member of the Group.

You can use the statuses to control which people are active members of your group. Only active members receive permissions through the group membership, can participate in the chat, write posts in the group, etc.

In groups with a limited number of seats, only people with the status Requested or Active are counted. If a person is marked as To be deleted, their seat in the Group will also become free again. If your group has a waiting list, excess people are placed on the waiting list and receive the status Requested.

In the Members tab, you can see an overview of all the people in your group and their status:
