How to link property pairs?

1 Min. lesen

To synchronize data between systems, ChurchTools needs to know which data items belong together. For each connection, you map the data properties of both systems to one another, creating property pairs that you can then synchronize using jobs.

The following applies:

  • The paired properties (also known as property pairs) apply to all orders of a connection.
  • If a property in your ChurchTools system has multiple values—for example, gender: male or female—then these values must be uniquely linked to the values of the corresponding property in your external system: male <-> m, female <-> w, and so on.
  • If not all values of a property are linked, the execution of all sync jobs for which that property is selected will be prevented. To prevent this, you can define a fallback behavior for the affected values.

1. Select a connection and open the property pairs #

Open a connection and select the property pairs for the relevant data from the menu column on the left.

2. Assign Properties #

You can either manually assign all properties to each other in the list, or you can select ” Apply All,” which is, of course, much faster.

3. Assign Values #

Next, go through the properties one by one and assign values where necessary. You can also save a lot of time here by using the ” Apply All ” function.

4. Check status #

The status bar above the properties always shows you whether all properties/values have been assigned—and are therefore linked—or if you still need to do something.
