Publish church services

You can use church calendars to manage public or internal appointments. This means that every church member is always up to date. Information about the place, day and time as well as notes are displayed in the calendar. This means that the important information is visible and there are no misunderstandings.

Church calendar is one of three calendar types in ChurchTools. The primary use is for general church work. This can range from public appointments, such as the Sunday service, to internal organization and planning.

Instructions #

Creating church services in the calendar is the first and easiest step to get started with the calendar module. You don’t need any pre-settings or additional people in ChurchTools to do this. As an admin, you can do this straight away.

1. Create a church calendar “Church services” if not available.
2. Create an appointment for the next Sunday.
3. Create a series appointment (repetition, weekly) in the appointment dialog so that a new appointment is displayed for every Sunday.
4. (Optional) Transact directly with a room (resources).
5. (Optional) Create events for the appointments directly so that you can schedule the services later in the Events module.
6. Embed the calendar on your own homepage.
