The tasks of a Church Management Software (ChMS) can be very different. ChurchTools offers you comprehensive contact management. This means that you can store extensive contact information as well as map your church structure.
With ChurchTools, you can map who is working in which department or division or which people are in which house groups. This means it is always clear who is doing what and where, and Agendas can be based on up-to-date data.
Transfer organization chart #
If your congregation does not yet have an organizational chart, that’s not a problem. ChurchTools does not require an organization chart or an elaborate hierarchy in order to function. However, experience shows that you can clarify responsibilities and minimize queries with a clear and communicated organizational chart.
Transferring an organization chart to ChurchTools is very simple. Each division of your organizational chart is represented by a group in ChurchTools. You can then organize these groups hierarchically.
The easiest way to do this is to proceed level by level and create the groups:
- Create a group.
If you have already created the people in your congregation in ChurchTools, it is a good idea to add them directly to the newly created groups. - Assign this group to a supergroup(Help: Groups).
- Repeat the steps until you have created and hierarchized all groups.

Next step #
You have now laid the foundation for further work with ChurchTools. People are available and groups have been created. This structure serves as the basis for all other modules.
Now you can create (groups) calendars or Roles for event planning.
