We have discontinued the ChurchDBSync service and support for it as of 31.12.2022. This also includes the Finance Sync module and the printer connection to check-in via this service.
ChurchDBSync had 2 functions:
- Firstly, DBSync ensured that you could synchronize your people and transactions data from Optigem with ChurchTools and use this data in the People module and Finance Sync.
- On the other hand, DBSync enabled a printer connection to check-in so that you could print labels for check-ins.
With the shutdown, this is of course no longer possible this way, but don’t worry – we of course offer you other functions with which you can continue to work and do even more.
Sync allows you to synchronize your personal and transactions data from Optigem with the People and Finance modules. And our new printer connection ensures that you can continue to print your labels from the check-in.
Optigem – ChurchTools #
Uni- and bidirectional synchronization of personal data #
To synchronize personal data between Optigem and ChurchTools, you can use our Sync, which offers you many more options and better usability. Either in one direction only or in both directions. You can also use the Sync to connect several databases from Optigem to ChurchTools at the same time. You can find out exactly how this works here.
Import transactions data from Optigem… #

You can also use Sync to import transactions data from Optigem into ChurchTools. You can find out exactly how this works here.
… or even without in read-only mode #
To display only budgets in ChurchTools, you can use the Finance module free of charge instead of the Finance Sync module.

The Finance module offers you many advantages compared to its predecessor, Finance Sync, as even the read-only use of this module offers you more options for dealing with the data from Optigem:
