What’s the difference between simulation and execution?

Simulation #

The difference is that a simulation does not change the actual data of your installations. Once the simulation is complete, you will receive a detailed log of what would have happened if the sync job had actually been executed. If you notice unwanted actions here, adjust the configuration of your job and simulate again. Repeat this until you are satisfied with the “What would have happened?” result without actually changing any data in your ChurchTools installation.

Execution #

During execution, the actions you have defined for the job are actually executed. This means that, depending on the configuration of your sync job, the selected persons are actually linked, created, updated, archived or deleted in your own and/or other systems.
