How to edit the members of a group?

Whether you are creating a new group or editing an existing group, the heart of the group is always the people who belong to it.
If you manage a group, you should keep its members and their details up to date. That’s why it’s important to know how to add and remove people, and how to change their details, such as their group role or group status.

Add person #

To add individual person to a group, navigate to Members (1) in the group and click on Add member (2).

You can then search for the person you want to add (3) or select a person from the suggestions (4).

You then assign the person their role (1) and status (2). You can also add a comment (3), edit the joining date (4) and, if required, set the leaving date (5).

You can also enter information in the group member fields (6).


Click on Add a person (7) to complete the process and the person is now a member of the group.

Remove persons #

In the Members section (1), you can open the context menu (2) of the person you want to remove from the group and select the menu item Remove from group (3).

You then confirm the action, thereby removing the person from the group.

Edit role, status, group member fields etc. #

If the roles or status of the people in your group change or you want to edit other information about their group membership, you can also do this in the List of people.

To edit the group membership of an individual person, navigate to the Members area (1) and select the table view (2).

Here you can quickly and easily make the desired change. To do this, hover over the field (3) you want to edit and click on the pencil icon that appears.

Edit multiple people #

To edit several people in your group at the same time, you have two options, depending on what you want to do.

If you want to edit personal details, select (2) the people you wish to edit from the list of members (1) and then choose a bulk action (3) from the list below.

You can manage group membership in the list of people within the Persons module. To do this, first select ‘Filter group in contact list’ (3) from the context menu (2) in the ‘Members’ section (1) of your group. You will then be automatically redirected to the list of people.

Groups - edit multiple people

There you select (4) all the group members you would like to work on, then select the task you would like to carry out from the Bulk actions (5) and follow the next steps.
