In your public profile, you give people an impression of your church community. Here you can share important information and briefly describe who you are and what makes you special.
To create or edit public profiles, go to Public Relations in your ChurchTools.
1. Call up church profile and location profiles #
Under Public profiles (1) you will find your community profile (2) and your location profiles (3) if you have created additional locations in the system settings.

2. Store information in the profiles #
If community information is already stored in the system settings, you will find it here in your profile. If you change something, these changes will be applied in both directions.
URL (community profile only) #
The URL of your community profile is automatically suggested as find.church.tools/beispielkirche.
If you would like to use a different URL, you can edit it here. Only lowercase letters from a-z, numbers and hyphens are allowed. Do not use umlauts, special characters or spaces. If the URL you are entering is already taken, you will be notified immediately.
General information #
In the first block you enter the name and abbreviation of your church. The full name is displayed at login, among other things. The abbreviated name appears, for example, in the top left of the blue menu bar and in the subject of system emails. The abbreviation of a location is used in the list of people, for example.
You can add and edit your logo and an appealing cover image in the next section. While the logo appears in various places, the cover image is mainly used in the ChurchTools Finder.
The address you enter here will be displayed on a map in the ChurchTools Finder.
In the last block of this section, you can enter contact details such as your website, e-mail address and telephone number.
About your community #
In the short introduction, you can describe your congregation in up to 800 characters. You can also indicate whether your congregation belongs to a particular denomination and select whether it belongs to an association, federation, regional church or diocese (see note). Choose up to three appropriate tags that describe your community well.
Social media links #
Enter the links to your social media platforms here. You can of course sort the list according to your preferences.
Regular church services #
Here you have the opportunity to enter the day of the week, interval and time for your regular church services. You can also enter a brief comment about the service.
In the next block you can add the average number of visitors per service and a picture.
Below this, you can link to suitable group homepages. Information on group homepages can be found in our guide How do I customize the group homepage of my parent group?
Gallery #
You can add and sort up to 8 pictures in your gallery to show who you are and what you are up to. ChurchTools arranges the pictures for you depending on which display device they are shown on.
Presented group homepages #
Here you can link and sort group homepages for easy contact and registration for events.
Presented persons #
In the last section, you have the option of adding individual people to your community to introduce them. You can also enter an appealing title that will be displayed above the people in the public profile.
