How to fill the “Links” widget and authorize users for it?

ChurchTools offers you the option of providing your ChurchTools users with links to various content in the “Links” widget on the start page.

To do this, store internal or external links that you want to display in the widget in the system settings and authorize them individually via the rights management. You can find out how to do this in this tutorial.

1. store links #

In the System settings (1) under General (2), call up the Home (3).

Under widget “Links” (4) click on + Add link (5) and enter a title (up to 50 characters), subtitle (up to 100 characters) and the desired link in the dialog box.

If you have stored more than one link, you can adjust the order using Sort (6).

2. Links permissions #

In the rights management (1) under Administration (2) you will find the global Permission to view entries in the links widget (view links) (3).

Use the checkboxes (4) to authorize person status, group types, groups and users for individual or all links. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in the article How do I assign global permissions?
