As a rule, your congregation needs a privacy policy if it uses ChurchTools, as data is stored and processed in ChurchTools.
Therefore, in ChurchTools you have the option of either linking an existing privacy policy of your congregation (external privacy policy) or using a privacy policy stored directly in ChurchTools and adapting it for your congregation.

1. Call up Data security / Data privacy #
To edit the privacy policy, go to the Data security / Data privacy section (3) in the System settings (2) and navigate to Privacy notice (4).

2. Edit privacy notice #
Click here on Edit.

The privacy policy stored in ChurchTools opens in a new browser tab.
To edit it, click on the context menu (1) and select Edit page (2).

Click on the Save button in the top right-hand corner to save your changes.

3. Check presentation #
After you have saved your changes, you can view the privacy policy.
You will then see it in the same way as it is displayed to the users of your ChurchTool.
