Whenever you use a new file, e.g. an image, on your ChurchTools Website, it is automatically saved in the files<\/em> of your website. In the admin area of your website you will find the files (Dateien)<\/em> under the item of the same name in the menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can easily find a specific file via the search field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If, for example, you want to use an image in several places on the website, you only have to upload it once<\/strong>. This saves storage space!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make this work as effectively as possible, it can help to organise the files on your website in folders<\/strong>, just like on your hard drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manage files<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Files menu works very much like your operating system’s File Explorer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) Create folder<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Create a new folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Upload<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Upload a new file<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) Switch view<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Here you can switch between the list view and the tile view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4) Path<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Here you can see which folder you are currently in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(5) One level up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you are in a folder, you always move up one level with this symbol:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can edit a file, copy its URL, duplicate it, rename it, move it or delete it using the “…” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
