Here you will find the menu item <em>Pages<\/em> (1) on the left-hand side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1a. Create new page <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the <em>Create page<\/em> button (2) at the top right to select the type of page. Call up existing page <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can call up an existing page by clicking on the <em>title of the page<\/em> in the page list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Edit page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have created a new page, enter the <em>title<\/em> (1) and click on the <em>Save changes<\/em> button (2). We explain how to use it in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/de\/help\/website-and-finder\/seiten-website\/wie-nutze-ich-die-live-vorschau\/\">How to use the live preview?<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use the <em>Open URL<\/em> button (3) to see how the page would look live at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If you save<\/em> (4) a page, it is not yet <em>published<\/em> (5). You can do this when you are happy with the page and actually want to take it live. If the page is already subordinate, the parent page will be displayed here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(4) Password protection<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>By activating the slider and assigning a password, you can set simple password protection for access to the page. If you click in the editor field, you will see a small <em>+ symbol<\/em> which you can use to insert elements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Portal pages<\/em> are element-oriented and therefore do not have a text editor. This allows you to preselect posts, groups or events that will be displayed on this page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(3) User filter selection<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you also select <em>tags<\/em> that were either synchronized when importing data from ChurchTools Website or that you created yourself for your website. This allows you to determine which filter option is displayed to the visitor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(4) Design options<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you define how the posts, groups and events should be <em>displayed<\/em> on the page and whether the <em>image for the content<\/em> should be displayed. You determine whether the <em>image placeholder<\/em>, which is stored in the <em>settings<\/em> under <em>Page content<\/em>, should be displayed if no image is stored. You can also determine whether a <em>short text or excerpt of the page content<\/em> is displayed and the maximum number of <em>entries<\/em> to be displayed on the page. If the list is empty, &#8220;No groups\/post\/appointment&#8230; available&#8221; is displayed by default. You can choose from several styles from the color scheme palette that is set in the <em>settings<\/em> under <em>Design<\/em> for the website.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can set the combinations for the <em>header<\/em> (1), <em>page content<\/em> (2) and <em>footer<\/em> (3) of the page. A clearly formulated title with suitable terms helps search engines to categorize the content and users to understand what it is about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meta description (2): <\/strong>This adds a short summary to the title. Even if it is not a direct ranking factor, it strongly influences whether someone clicks on your result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social media image (Open Graph) (3):<\/strong> This image is displayed when your page is shared on WhatsApp, Facebook or LinkedIn, for example.
