We have preset some security levels to make it easier for you to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The security levels build on each other like stairs. This means that you put non-sensitive data on a lower level and sensitive data on higher levels, ascending with sensitivity. So all data &#8220;lie&#8221; on a certain level. And users are in turn released for the steps they need. You determine how far they can ultimately &#8220;climb&#8221; the stairs by releasing the security levels for the users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"694\" height=\"282\" src=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-8.png 694w, https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-8-300x122.png 300w, https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-8-360x146.png 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 694px) 100vw, 694px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data is given a security level<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All <strong>data<\/strong> that is stored for a person or group in ChurchTools is assigned to a security level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, you can assign a relatively low security level to a person&#8217;s contact details (phone number or e-mail) so that many in the congregation can network with each other, but you can assign a higher security level to the address so that fewer users can see it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Users are released for certain security levels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For each <strong>user<\/strong> you can set which security level is enabled for them. If a higher level is released, the user is also released for the levels below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-80af7bfe1f2cac9aad48f56ff78dd877 is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#e7c000;border-left-width:0.5rem;color:#3f3400;background-color:#ffe5644d;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>The following applies in principle:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">The higher the security level, the more sensitive the data and the fewer users should be released for it.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>You set the release in Manage Permissions either via the <em>status<\/em> or the membership of a user to certain <em>group types<\/em> or <em>groups<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You use the <strong>status<\/strong> to set which security levels are to be released for all users with this status. In this way you determine that, for example, all congregation members can see more sensitive data (e.g. dates of birth) than interested parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By belonging to <strong>specific group types or groups<\/strong>, you in turn adjust the security levels for the data of the group or the other group members separately.
