A section is a subdivision of a campus that has its own management structure and list of people<\/strong>. Every person is always assigned to one or more areas in ChurchTools: the default is always the \u201cCongregation List\u201d<\/em> area. You can customize this area for your congregation and, of course, add additional ones. This article explains how to do that. <\/p>\n\n

Accessing Sections in the Master Data<\/h2>\n\n

In the People module<\/em> (1), you’ll find the master data<\/em> (2) on the right-hand side. When you open it, the master data will be displayed in an alphabetical list. This is where you can access the sections<\/em> (3). <\/p>\n\n

Open existing sections or create new ones<\/h2>\n\n

The list now shows you all existing sections<\/em> (1). By clicking on one of the sections, you can customize it for your congregation. <\/p>\n\n

If you want to create a new section, click the blue plus icon<\/em> (2) below the list of sections.<\/p>\n\n

Edit Sections<\/h2>\n\n

In the dialog box that opens, enter a name<\/em> (1) and an abbreviation<\/em> (2) for your section. The abbreviation will appear on the right side of the list of people for each person as soon as there is more than one section. <\/p>\n\n

The sort order<\/em> (3) determines the position of the field in selection lists and in the master data.<\/p>\n\n

Clicking ” Save<\/em> ” (4) creates the section or applies the change.<\/p>\n\n
