In this article, we&#8217;ll show you how to import it and create transactions from it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also import PayPal activity reports and perform transactions on your account from there. CAMT.052 replaces the MT942 files. CAMT.053 is the account statement and replaces the previous MT940 and MT950 files.  <br><br>CAMT.052 includes the retrieval of intraday account transactions (so-called &#8220;pending entries&#8221;). These should not be imported, as they are still subject to change and could therefore result in incorrect accounting entries. <\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. You can either assign document numbers manually, specify a user-defined scheme, or have the system automatically continue the numbering based on the document number of the last existing booking for the selected account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-1ccdadb1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#3e70ce;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#f3f5f7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><em>The<\/em> only <em>accounts<\/em> available for selection are those assigned in the <em>master data<\/em> to an <em>account group<\/em> that is marked as <em>a cash account<\/em>. Transactions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you&#8217;ve imported the bank statement, all the transactions it contains will be displayed, and you can <em>post<\/em> them directly (1)\u2014based on ChurchTools&#8217; suggestions (indicated by the purple text).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you hover over a suggestion, you&#8217;ll also see how accurately ChurchTools was able to calculate it.<br>Clicking the &#8221; <em>Recalculate Suggestions<\/em> &#8221; button (4) updates ChurchTools&#8217; booking suggestions based on the most recent available data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-1ccdadb1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#3e70ce;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#f3f5f7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">ChurchTools detects whether the imported bookings have already been imported in whole or in part, meaning they are duplicates. These bookings are displayed as duplicates in the overview, allowing you to avoid saving them twice in ChurchTools. <\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you <a href=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/en\/help\/churchtools-modules\/budgets-reports-and-purposes\/understanding-purposes\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/de\/help\/churchtools-module\/budgets-auswertungen-und-zwecke\/wie-nutze-ich-zwecke\/\"><em>purposes<\/em><\/a> in the master data, you can <em>apply<\/em> them with a single click (3), and the information stored in the purpose will be filled in automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, you can also <em>edit<\/em> individual transactions <em>manually<\/em> (2) before posting them. It\u2019s therefore worth using this feature especially after you\u2019ve made a few bookings, so that ChurchTools can learn from this information and generate better suggestions for you. <\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Optionally review and post transactions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When editing a transaction manually, all fields in the advanced entry view are available to you. Some fields are already filled in based on suggestions from ChurchTools, but you can edit all fields\u2014both empty and pre-filled ones.
