To ensure that the right people are on stage on Sunday, you can manage the service planning here. To do this, you have already entered the people in the Persons module in the respective service groups as employees. You can now use these groups as a data source in the Events module.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide explains the steps you need to take to be able to use all service groups in the Events module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roles and Role categories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, let&#8217;s clarify the terms <a href=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/help\/churchtools-module\/verwalten-events\/40-dienste-und-dienstkategorien\/\" id=\"7129\"><em>Roles<\/em> and Ro<\/a>le  <em>categories<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Role<\/strong> &#8211; A role in ChurchTools is a function in an event. For example, <em>sermon<\/em> is a role that can be filled or <em>musicians<\/em>. All roles are maintained in the Events module in the master data. A role can be linked to one or more groups from the Groups module. This allows people from the groups to be selected as suggestions when planning services.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Role categories<\/strong> &#8211; A Role category in the Events module is a collection of several roles. For example, the r<em>oles service leadership<\/em> and s<em>ermon<\/em> are combined in the role categories <em>Program<\/em>. This creates clarity.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#22c55e;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#dcfce7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Tip<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">Start with the planning of church services to get to know the workflow. You can always add other functions, such as agendas and absences, later. The requested persons can later confirm or reject the requests in ChurchTools if they have been invited to ChurchTools.  <\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maintain roles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Role categories and Roles have already been created in ChurchTools. As an admin, you can maintain these under <em>Events &gt; Master data<\/em>. The important steps for creating a new service or adapting an existing one<a title=\"YouTube: Set up Events module\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GDK_T5UxfSE&amp;list=PLKkd9_EOcMn2nhaNkHN5ZDRD2A3MEKLeF&amp;index=8\">(YouTube<\/a>) are listed here.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <em>Roles<\/em> in the master data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open an existing service or create a new Roles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter a name: What is the name of the Roles?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assign it to a Role categories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <em>Group assignment<\/em>, link the duty group\/s from the Groups module: The group members are then suggested during duty scheduling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make further settings, e.g. whether the Roles may be canceled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the important steps to prepare the Events module for duty scheduling.
