What is LDAP?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LDAP stands for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can be used to use one Login for many systems so that users do not need a separate Login for each system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the ChurchTools Login<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If the ChurchTools system Login is to be used for other systems, there are two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The LDAP service<\/a> runs with ChurchTools. You can transaction this service directly via your license and then contact our support team to set it up. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Install the LDAP server yourself. Michael Lux has created the so-called LDAP wrapper, which anyone can install themselves. Information on this can be found on GitHub: https:\/\/github.com\/milux\/ctldap<\/a> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If the user who wants to log in to another system with their ChurchTools credentials has two-factor authentication enabled in ChurchTools, the OTP token must be appended to the password. For more details, see LDAP with two-factor authentication<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
