However, changes only become visible to website visitors when you publish the changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#3e70ce;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#f3f5f7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">Points 2-6 only become visible after a page or content has been saved at least once.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(2) Publish<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By clicking on the <em>Publish<\/em> button, you have three options for each of which you can add a note:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Publish the currently saved version: The changes in the working copy are applied to the entry and it is published immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancel publication of the page: The current revision will not be published.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a new version of the page: A new version is created based on the working copy. The current version will not change. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the small arrow next to the button to select in advance whether you want to <em>go to the page list<\/em> after publishing, <em>remain in the editing window<\/em> or <em>create another new page<\/em>. By default, you are always taken to the page list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#3e70ce;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#f3f5f7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">If you end up on the working copy after saving a version, even though you have not yet finished editing the version, then you did not select <em>Continue editing<\/em> before saving. We explain how to use it in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/de\/help\/website-and-finder\/seiten-website\/wie-nutze-ich-die-live-vorschau\/\">How to use the live preview?<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(4) Open URL<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Opens the currently published version in a new tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#3e70ce;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#f3f5f7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">If the page or content has never been published, you will receive a 404 error message.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(5) Versions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you can see at a glance whether a page or content has already been published or not and whether your current page\/content contains unsaved changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(6) Show history<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on <em>Show history<\/em> to display an overview of all existing versions.
