{"id":37480,"date":"2024-12-10T12:17:49","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T11:17:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/help\/non-knowledgebase\/uncategorized\/what-are-group-member-statuses-and-what-effects-do-they-have\/"},"modified":"2025-09-30T14:11:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T13:11:19","password":"","slug":"what-are-group-member-statuses-and-what-effects-do-they-have","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/en\/help\/churchtools-modules\/gruppen-meine-gruppe\/what-are-group-member-statuses-and-what-effects-do-they-have\/","title":{"rendered":"What are group member statuses and what effects do they have?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In ChurchTools, group members can not only have different <a href=\"https:\/\/churchtools.academy\/en\/help\/churchtools-modules\/basics-groups\/what-are-castors-and-what-can-i-use-them-for\/\">roles<\/a>, but also three different statuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These have the following effects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Status<\/th><th>Impact<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Requested<\/td><td>The person should\/would like to join the group, but is not yet an active member of the group.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Active<\/td><td>The person is an active member of the groups.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>To delete<\/td><td>The person should\/would like to be removed from the group and is already no longer an active member of the Group.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use the statuses to control which people are active members of your group. Only <em>active<\/em> members receive permissions through the group membership, can participate in the chat, write posts in the group, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In groups with a limited number of seats, only people with the status <em>Requested<\/em> or <em>Active<\/em> are counted. If a person is marked as <em>To be deleted<\/em>, their seat in the Group will also become free again.
