Sometimes it even makes sense to introduce a new group type in order to structure the permissions more clearly or to introduce clarity in the terminology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following table shows you possible group types that are frequently used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Group type<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Alternative names<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Description<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Small group<\/td><td>House group<\/td><td>You can use the \u2018small group\u2019 group type to organise smaller, informal groups within a congregation. These can be home groups, Bible study groups or prayer groups, for example. <strong>The aim of such groups is to promote fellowship and strengthen the personal faith of the participants.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Service<\/td><td>Teams<\/td><td>The \u2018Service\u2019 group type is intended for the organisation of voluntary activities and services within the congregation. This includes, for example, music, technology, childcare or the welcoming team. <strong>The members of these groups work together to support and organise the congregation services and events.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Characteristic<\/td><td>Interests<\/td><td>The group type \u2018characteristic\u2019 is used to classify people within the community based on certain attributes or interests. Examples of characteristic groups are age groups, musical preferences or language skills. <strong>These groups help to get to know the members of the congregation better and to create targeted offers for specific groups.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Actions<\/td><td>Measures<\/td><td>\u2018Actions\u2019 is a group type that you can use for projects or activities within the congregation.
