Difference between global and group-internal permissions

Global permissions #

The global permissions are the permissions that apply to your entire ChurchTools.

You can give them for different properties of users:

  • Permissions for users who have a certain status.

  • Membership of any group of a certain group type allows you to assign permissions that apply to the whole system.

  • By becoming a member of a specific group, you can also assign permissions that affect the entire system.

  • You can also give permissions directly to individual users.

Group-internal permissions #

Global permissions that apply to the entire system can be given to a group. In addition, with the group-internal permissions you also have the option of giving permissions via group memberships, which are only valid within the group in question.
