If you have activated this function as an admin, users can register themselves in ChurchTools. This saves time and makes access to ChurchTools easier – always under your control as administrator, of course. In the system settings, you can configure exactly which locations are available for this, whether person tags are set and whether the person should be assigned to a specific group.
To do this, go to the system settings under General (1) and select Registration (2). Here you can activate the registration for your ChurchTools (3). At the top right you will find the registration link (4) and can download the QR code (5). Further down, you will find the same option and an additional link to download a slide for the next presentation (6) in your church.
Under the Activate registration button you will find a switch with which you can hide the “Register” button when logging in and in the church profile (7). If you activate the switch, the registration for your ChurchTools is only accessible via the registration link and the QR code.

Created persons #
People who have already been created without an actively used account, but with an email address on file, can take over their profile and use ChurchTools with the permissions already assigned. If several accounts have the same email address on file, the person registering can select for whom the account is to be created.
This can result in duplicates if the person registering uses a different email address than the one on file, or if none is on file.
Here you will find a direct link to the duplicate check in the Persons module, where you can easily clean up the duplicates found.

New persons #
Here you define the person status (1) and campus (2) with which the account should be created for the people who register via the form. You can either specify a campus or allow people to select their campus from a list (3) that you can configure. You also have the option of attaching tags (4) to the newly registered accounts.
If it makes sense for you to add the newly registered users to groups, you can select a group for each campus under Group membership (5).

Registration form #
Here you specify which information should be requested during registration. First name, surname and e-mail address are already pre-selected as mandatory fields. Of course, you have the option of adding further fields and also defining them as mandatory fields.

Prerequisite #
You have the option of specifying the minimum age a person must be before they can register themselves.

QR code for registration #
Here you will find an example (1) of how you can present the QR code for your registration. You will also find the registration link (2) and can directly download a slide for the next presentation (3) in your church service or the QR code (4) for registration.

Blocked e-mail addresses #
Use the + Block email address button to add email addresses with which people should not be able to register with you. You can edit addresses that have already been blocked using the pencil icon (2) or remove them using the x (3).
You will also see the number of users you have blocked (4) in the blue info box. No further accounts can be created with the default email address of a blocked user. Click on the x blocked users (4) button to open the list of names and switch directly to the person details.
