What ist the Writing Assistant?

2 min. read

It is a talent to be able to formulate short and fitting texts for appointments or groups that describe really well what the appointment or the group is about and at the same time express for whom the appointment really is suitable for or what the group is actually like. Unfortunately, not all of us have that talent. One or the other finds it difficult and then this task costs valuable time. For this purpose, ChurchTools (from v3.100 onwards) offers you the Writing Assistant.

Your personal assistant #

You can view the Writing Assistant as something like your personal assistant. You give the assistant keywords that should be included and tell it how you would like the text to look like, ranging from very emotional to more factual. Et voilá – your personal assistant describes your group or your appointment according to your wishes. Of course, you always have the option of changing the suggested text according to your preferences.

Privacy/Security #

The algorithm for generating text content is provided by the company OpenAI (USA). Therefore it is required to transfer data to OpenAI in order to use the Writing Assistant. Only data from groups or appointments that are being edited are transmitted. You can decide on a case-by-case basis which group or appointment information should be included and subsequently transmitted in the text generation. Please make sure that you don’t provide any personal data such as name or a personal address when using the Writing Assistant. According to OpenAI, the information submitted will be deleted after a maximum of 30 days. The data processing by OpenAI is beyond our control, therefore the data security references by OpenAI must be observed.

Disclaimer #

As text generation is carried out by OpenAI, ChurchTools doesn’t take any responsibility for the generated content. It is the responsibility of the user to review generated text and ensure its suitability for specific requirements. The Writing Assistant is therefore used at the user’s own risk and ChurchTools assumes no liability for any consequences of its use.
