How to use/create personalized certificates?

2 Min. lesen

You can give the members of your Groups the option of downloading personalized certificates, e.g. for confirmation of seminar participation or an application for a certificate of good conduct.

To do this, you can create or import templates for the various certificates in ChurchTools and then make the desired certificates available to all relevant people.

1. create/import template #

To create or import a new template, navigate to Settings (1) in the group module and then to Certificates (2).

There you can upload templates in JSON format (1) if, for example, your authority association of congregations provides various templates or create your own templates (2).

If you want to create your own template, the editor will open, which you can use to customize your template.

The templates are based on the principle that you divide and organize your content into different components (1).
You can add further components to your template using drag and drop (2-3), with a green line (4) showing you where the new component will be inserted.

You can then edit (1), rearrange (2) or delete (3) the existing components in the template.

Especially with more extensive templates, it can be helpful to have the individual layers (1) clearly displayed in the template. Here you also have the option of quickly moving and rearranging content (components) (2).

You can use placeholders to fill your template with personalized text.
You can find a list of all placeholders here.

You can save your work in the meantime and when you are finished, exit the editor by clicking Save and close.

2. make template available #

Once you have created or imported your template, you can make it available to the desired people.

To do this, navigate to the relevant group and select Certificates (2) in the settings (1).

Here you then have the option of using the various roles to define which group members can download which certificates for themselves.

3. download certificate #

The members of your Group can then download the certificates released for them by opening their own user card in the Group (click on their name in the member list) and then selecting the certificate.

The selected certificate is then created and opened as a PDF file in the browser.
