How to create group membership fields?

1. Open group settings #

Navigate to the Settings (1) of your group to Members (2) and open the dialog box (3) to add Group member fields.

Then create your new group member field by entering all the necessary information and saving it. You can then enter information for your group members in the field you have created, or they can enter the information themselves in the registration form.

In addition to the name (1), you can enter a description (2) for the field. This description will be displayed in the editor. You can use it to explain important information or provide notes about the field.

Different field types (3) allow you to customise the field to suit your specific purpose. For all field types, you can enter a security level (4) to control who can see this field.

For some field types, you can store comma-separated options (5) that can then be selected in the fields. These could be, for example, ‘dietary habits’, for which you can offer the options ‘everything’, “vegetarian” or ‘vegan’. You can also display a default value (6) in the field if nothing has been entered yet, or specify that an option is selected by default if the selection has not been changed.

Finally, you can decide whether the field should be queried in the registration form (7) and with which properties this should happen. The alternative name and description will be displayed in the registration form instead of the name and description you entered above.
