# What are ad hoc reports?

Ad hoc reports are another way to create reports, in addition to standard reports. Ad hoc reports provide you with a quick overview of a predefined topic. The results are then displayed as [a pivot table](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pivot-Tabelle) and reflect the current status as it appears in ChurchTools.

The predefined ad hoc reports are stored as SQL queries. This allows you to quickly select and run them.

## Predefined ad hoc reports

Every ChurchTools installation comes with preconfigured ad hoc reports:

- **Membership and Friends Growth** – A list of individuals in the ChurchTools system over a period of time.
- **Membership Trends** – Initial Contacts per Month and per Year.
- **Monthly Group Growth** – Changes in the number of participants in groups (of a specific type), broken down by month.
- **Weekly Group Development** – Changes in the number of participants in groups (of a specific group type), broken down by calendar week.
- **Attendance at Group Meetings** – Number of group meetings attended per month, broken down by participant role.
- **Fact Report** – List of facts (Events module), calculated on a monthly basis.
- **Donor Analysis** – Total Donation Amount or Number of Donations
- **Finance** – List of account transactions by account (old Finance Sync module).
- **Song Usage** – Song Frequency by Calendar and Campus
- **App Usage** – Number of devices per user that use the ChurchTools app.
- **Users without an active app installation** – List of all users who do not have an active app installation
