Deletions

  • Resources
    • The “Deleted” booking status has been completely removed, and bookings that were already marked as deleted have been removed.

Improvements

  • General
    • There’s a new 404/Not Found page.
    • Authorization checks are performed more quickly thanks to optimized cache processing.
    • In single-line input fields, you can now use the up and down arrow keys to move the cursor directly to the beginning or the end.
    • Logging into ChurchTools via a third-party system: When you click a link, you are now taken to the desired page after logging in, rather than to the Home page.
  • Persons
    • The column names in the master data for individuals have been rephrased to make them easier to understand.
    • Lists of people load faster, especially when there are many people on the list.
    • Loading personal relationships has been significantly sped up.
    • Birthday lists with many people load much faster.
  • Groups
    • The Groups module now uses the new Markdown editor in all descriptions and comment fields. This means you can format text there and mention people, groups, wiki pages, and songs.
    • Group chats now take group status into account: Only group admins can chat in draft groups, and chat is automatically disabled in archived groups.
    • In the group membership modal, the most recent meetings are now linked to their detail pages.
    • The privacy policy link on an embedded public group page is now better positioned.
    • Groups and group members can now be created or added directly via a URL (gemeinde.church.tools/groups/new & gemeinde.church.tools/groups/ID/members/new).
    • Comments on group members can now contain up to 4,000 characters. For group registrations, an automatic note is no longer added to the comment.
    • Custom group information can now also be edited in group tables.
    • The default settings for a group’s chat settings have been improved.

    • When importing bank statements, learned posting suggestions are now retained even after a change in the fiscal year.
    • In Safari, the cover letter and attachment for a collective confirmation are once again displayed correctly when switching to Preview.
    • If there are no bookings, a corresponding note is now displayed.
    • Amounts for bookings without a cash account are displayed in gray in the transaction list and the booking dialog box.

  • REST API
    • The endpoint DELETE /files/{domainType}/{domainIdentifier} deletes all associated files again, not just the first one.
    • A new REST endpoint is available for external applications to generate login tokens. The deprecated endpoint no longer reveals any information about existing accounts when invalid login credentials are provided.
    • Browser-based integrations that send write REST requests using a session from a different domain must configure their domain in access_control_allow_origins or include a CSRF token. No changes are required for OAuth/Bearer and server-to-server clients.
  • System settings
    • When you switch plans, any additional modules you have already purchased remain selected.
    • The legal notice and privacy policy can be edited in the system settings even when the Wiki module is disabled.
    • Checkboxes are now displayed in the information sheet with their labels instead of their internal IDs.
    • The “Licenses” tab displays the current valid limits for clients and sync connections.
    • The help links in the privacy settings now lead back to the correct help page.
