Improvements

• Groups 2.0 Beta
  • With this version, the beta of our new groups module goes live. Find out more in our blog post.
• General
  • The browser version of ChurchTools can now also be zoomed with two fingers on Android devices.
  • The display of the number of results in the quick search has been corrected.
  • A part of an iframe resizer is now integrated for the group homepages and their subpages and in the calendar(https://github.com/davidjbradshaw/iframe-resizer).
  • Both the profile picture and the family picture are now displayed in the data sheet for a person.
  • The names of the actors are now saved directly in the log so that the log entry can still be assigned to the respective actor even after the person has been deleted. This is particularly important for traceability in the finance module.
  • Excel export now formats the range as a table within the sheet. This makes it easier to filter and format.
• People & groups
  • In the master data, the maximum length for designations has been increased to 50 in several tables to make room for user-defined key values.
  • The displayed group name is now supplemented with the assigned campus if the groups are used for further actions.
  • In the “Adjust age groups of groups” action, the age groups are now displayed in the correct order.
  • Activating and deactivating the chat for a group now works more stable.
  • This prevents the super admin from deleting their last e-mail address and thereby locking themselves out of ChurchTools.
  • Super admins and people with the right administer persons can now administer group meetings without being a member of the group themselves.
  • When moving a follow-up, an automatic comment is no longer written in order to improve clarity.
  • If an e-mail is entered twice under the same label when entering an e-mail on the person details page under “Edit information”, an error message is now displayed.
  • For public groups, you can now set whether the street of the meeting point should be displayed or not (not displayed by default).
  • The REST endpoint GET /persons can now also filter people by nickname.
• Calendar
  • The group calendar of an appointment with meeting request(s) can only be changed again if the meeting request(s) are removed first.
  • Past appointments are now downgraded in color to improve clarity.
  • After midnight, the calendar is now reloaded once so that the references to “Today” are correct again.
  • The settings for “start” and “end” of an embedded calendar list have been moved to make the context clearer.
• Events
  • When filling Roles, the nickname of persons is now displayed consistently.
  • The sorting for the Roles is now displayed directly in the master data table.
  • The automatic categorization now also displays the campuses for the groups.
  • The print view of the duty roster now exactly reflects the filter selection.
  • In the Songbeamer export, headings now have the color black.
  • The title and series of an Agenda can no longer be edited if the Agenda is marked as “completed”.
• Wiki
  • If the wiki is displayed in embedded mode, superfluous space is now removed from the top.
• Finances
  • When creating a posting year, a valid year is now checked.
  • Cancellation postings automatically receive a -Cancellation appended to the voucher number in order to identify them uniquely.
  • The success message when importing bookings has been improved.
  • The booking text is now a mandatory field when creating and editing bookings.
  • The system now checks that the account and contra account are different for new bookings.
  • Tax offsetting can no longer be selected for donation postings.
  • Log entries for the finance module are no longer deleted after 3 years as with the other modules due to the retention obligation.
  • Changes to accounts, cost centers and tax rates are now recorded in the log.
  • The waiver of reimbursement of expenses can now be specified for donation postings. The waiver is shown accordingly on the donation receipt.
  • Booking numbers can now be incremented automatically. Counting up can be activated separately for each posting year in the master data.
• REST API
  • Open meeting requests are now returned in chronological order (i.e. earlier first).
  • User-defined fields can now also be set to null in the REST API, provided they have been created accordingly in the master data.
  • The REST endpoint POST /logout has been added.
  • The query of pending services now also returns Roles for all-day events that take place on the day of the query.
  • The endpoint for the app’s Home page now separates open and pending service requests.

Fixed errors

• General
  • Page breaks have been improved when printing tables.
  • Missing translations of master data have been added.
  • Errors could occur if ChurchTools did not have access to the browser’s LocalStorage. This has been fixed.
  • The “About ChurchTools” page no longer results in an SQL error.
  • In some cases, the profile picture was no longer displayed in the top right-hand corner. This has been fixed.
• People & groups
  • Birthdays on February 29 are now correctly sorted in the birthday list together with, but after, birthdays on February 28 if the current year is not a leap year.
  • Umlauts in the print view of the member list are now displayed correctly.
  • If a person is retroactively removed from a group, this is noted correctly in the person history.
  • An incorrect authorization check has been removed for the action to adjust the status of a group.
  • The “Adjust group member role and status” action no longer overwrites the “Joined since” date.
  • If a user is added to a group via another action, the “Signed up by” field is no longer set.
  • In the past, an error joined the person export: If spouses were combined using “Combine relationships -> spouses”, exactly five additional fields were always exported for the spouse, even if they had not been selected. Now, of these five fields, only those that were explicitly selected are exported.
  • After the deletion of a certain nationality from the master data did not work, it now works again without errors.
  • Configuring the chat is possible again with group-internal permissions.
  • The templates work again when you close a group meeting.
  • The group statistics (number of members, average age) are now correct again.
  • The group history in the person view has been revised. The leaving date of a person from a group is now displayed correctly, even if a person is added to a group and the leaving date is in the past.
  • A database error when repeatedly uploading group images has been fixed.
  • The displayed age of a person can no longer be negative.
  • The display of occupied seats in a group now takes into account whether the respective group member roles should be counted towards the number of seats or not.
  • Applying for group membership via the Home page now also works again for groups with the visibility “Internal” or “Restricted”.
  • The duplicate check works again for groups with a closing date.
• Calendar
  • Appointment templates can now also be changed without creating a new template.
  • For appointments lasting several days, the correct day of the week for the end is now displayed.
  • If an appointment is created on behalf of another person, this person is also listed as the author in the e-mail notification.
  • Appointments over midnight and an end before 5:00 am are now displayed correctly.
  • Appointments that last 30 minutes or less are now also displayed with the end time.
  • The title of a location can now be removed again.
  • Appointment reminders remain consistent even if the start date of the appointment is changed.
  • Automatic sign up groups can now also be deactivated. Sign up groups that have already been created remain in place and may need to be deleted manually.
  • People who can only see or edit a group calendar with group type rights are listed again for meeting requests.
  • When replying to meeting requests, the meeting request is no longer postponed by 2 hours.
  • When saving an appointment as a template, the address is also saved.
  • The appointment window was not opened due to a lack of permission for a resource. This has been fixed.
  • The tooltip for a calendar entry is no longer displayed if the corresponding option is switched off.
  • The authorization check for the public user in the info screen has been corrected.
• Events
  • In the info of an event, it could happen that the display was broken when inserting links. This has been fixed.
  • When assigning a song to a position in the Agenda, it is now also possible to specify other information.
  • Saving event templates now works with Firefox again.
  • Occupying a Roles that is not linked to any groups works again in the app.
• Resources
  • The display of the tooltip for repeated bookings that go beyond midnight has been improved.
  • The display of the time of an all-day booking has been improved.
• Wiki
  • Markdown checklists are now displayed correctly.
  • Wiki pages with umlauts in the title are now displayed correctly on the Home page.
• Sync
  • In the dialog for job actions, the cancel button works again.
• Check-in
  • When creating persons in check-in, only statuses that the user is allowed to use when creating persons can be selected.
  • It is once again possible to create persons via check-in.
• Finances
  • Donors can now be created again via the booking mask.
• REST API
  • The API GET /groups/{groupId}/absences now also returns persons whose absence starts and/or ends outside the query interval, i.e. are not completely included but overlap.
  • In future, open meeting requests will only be those that have not yet been answered. Previously, these also included requests that were answered with “maybe”.
  • The endpoint GET /events/{id}/agenda/songs now also delivers songs if the user is only allowed to view the agenda via their Roles.
• Public relations
  • Editing title images now works again.
  • The title of the persons presented can now be adjusted again.
